In this modern age and time, many things seem lost; along with it, the romantic art of handwritten love letters. After all, love letters are one of the best ways to express feelings to another.
You don’t have to take Shakespeare classes or be a writer to write them. With a bit of effort and a touch of sincerity; anyone can pen a letter that will pull heartstrings.
Love letters are simply your truthful personal feelings about someone stringed by words - even if they are very simple words. It is the honesty that makes the letter really special for that someone.
It need not be Valentine’s Day for you to sit down with your dusty pen. Any day, is perfectly fine for you to express your love for your partner.
Of course, there are other creative ways to express your feelings:
Dated Bottle
Write your message on normal paper and find an old wine bottle. Proceed to put your letter inside and cork it. Remember to date the letter forward for maybe.. a month or a year and your partner would have to wait to open it. This romantic idea also helps to forge a “commitment” to each other to stay together, well at least for the dated period.
Writing on an Audio Tape
Take an old cassette tape and pull out the magnetic strip till the end, (of course this will ruin your tape forever, so pick the band which you hate the most) then proceed to write with a gold or white pen. When you’re done, reel the magnetic strip back in and attach a small sticker on the side that says “Pull Me!”
“Medicine”
A personal favourite.
This works well when your loved one is away for a long period of time. Begin by preparing short snippets of love letters (actually, more of love sentences) on small strips of paper. Then find medicine bottles big enough to store these strips of paper and put them inside. Your loved one can remember you with one of these a day. Works especially well for some long-distance relationships.
Be creative, but mostly, write what the love letter is supposed to do: Express your love.
