Does it frustrate you so much that the one person who means the world to you does not understand you? If it is an astounding yes, then it is time you put a stop to it.
Before you continue going round in circles questioning why your man does not understand you, ask yourself some of these questions:-
1. Do you understand yourself in the first place?
2. Do you know what truly makes you tick?
3. What makes you happy and what gets you going for the day?
4. Do you understand the one you love?
And most importantly,...
5. Do you understand the purpose and meaning of your relationship with the one you love?
A fulfilling relationship requires hard work from both parties. It’s about accommodating to each other and understanding each other. But before you are able to accommodate to your man; you have to first understand your own needs and wants from the relationship. When you know that, you will know what are naturally acceptable for you.
NEEDS vs. WANTS
To know oneself, you have to differentiate between your needs (eg. same religion) and wants (eg. tall man). Your needs generally remain the same regardless how you have grown or matured; whilst your wants can vary with time and age.
To know and understand yourself, look within yourself. Look at your past love relationships; do you see a similar pattern in your interaction with your previous and current partners?
Some questions you can ask yourself while doing your self-reflection:-
1. How have the relationship contributed towards your overall well-being?
2. Were you truly happy in the relationship?
3. Did you always wonder if the relationship is going the right way?
4. Do you doubt your own thoughts and feelings?
5. Do you doubt his sincerity?
6. How and what have you contributed toward the relationship?
The list can go on depending on each individual woman. This is because, each of us are created and built differently. What is important to you may mean nothing to the next woman. So before you start complaining that your partner does not understand you; first learn to understand yourself!
While you go on your journey of self-discovery, remember - Be Yourself, Be Genuinely Happy and Be Confident.
